Creating Unique Space in Detroit’s Landscape: JVS Honors Broder & Sachse With Business Leadership Award

JVS is proud to present its 2018 Business Leadership Award to Broder & Sachse Real Estate at the 21st annual Strictly Business Networking and Awards Luncheon June 14 at the MGM Grand Detroit. Strictly Business is a fundraiser for JVS workforce development programs that help metro Detroiters build their lives and careers.

Broder & Sachse Real Estate is a leading urban real estate development company in Southeast Michigan. Founded in 1993, the company is behind several high-profile mixed-use developments in Detroit. Earlier this year, the firm moved its headquarters to Detroit. Richard Broder, founder and CEO, said the move from Birmingham reinforces his company’s commitment to Detroit.

“There are tremendous opportunities in Detroit for development in key focus areas in our portfolio, and we wanted to be in the same neighborhood of the projects we are developing downtown and in Midtown,” Broder said. “The entire Broder & Sachse team is committed to providing an exceptional experience, and we are better equipped to do so from Detroit, where creative, innovative thinking is raising the bar for Detroiters and visitors alike.”

From the beginning, Broder & Sachse co-founders Broder and Todd Sachse have embraced strong core values to inspire and empower team members to achieve world-class service for their clients. The company’s positive work environment, unique team member perks and generous benefits have earned recognition among top workplaces several years running.

Since 2008, Broder & Sachse has provided competitive employment opportunities for people with disabilities through a partnership with JVS for janitorial services at the company’s Birmingham office building.

“Broder & Sachse’s reputation for excellence, commitment to employees, and passion for this community are deserving of recognition with this year’s Business Leadership Award,” said Bob Canvasser, co-chair of Strictly Business.

Over 700 business and community leaders are expected to attend the Strictly Business luncheon, which will feature Mark Reuss, executive vice president of Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain, General Motors Company, as keynote speaker.
