The David B. Hermelin ORT Resource Center (Hermelin ORT Center), a division of JVS, has earned recognition from the State of Michigan as a licensed proprietary school. In Michigan, proprietary schools meet stringent state expectations for quality programming and fair policies while providing training in specific trades, occupations or vocations.
“The Hermelin ORT Center offers a wide range of computer skills training, most importantly to job seekers and workers who need to upgrade their tech skills to become more employable,” says Leah Rosenbaum, JVS interim president and CEO.
Hermelin ORT Center offers more than 350 hands-on classroom and online courses for Southeastern Michigan residents. Course offerings include Microsoft Office, QuickBooks®, digital literacy, project management and more. Students are currently enrolling for Hermelin ORT Center’s new semester, which begins in January. Scholarships are available for qualified unemployed or underemployed individuals.
