Technology Challenged? Digital Literacy Series Offers Hands-On Training

Learn basic computer and social media skills to keep up with loved ones, friends and former colleagues in the Digital Literacy Series offered at the David B. Hermelin ORT Resource Center, a division of JVS.

The six-session course is designed to familiarize inexperienced users with basic computer, smart phone and iPad functions as well as how to use Facebook and video chat apps. Each session is one hour. Preregistration is required. Participants may register to attend all six sessions, or select specific sessions including Intro to Computers (Oct. 24); E-mail Basics (Oct. 31); Internet Basics & Data Security (Nov. 7); Getting Started with Facebook (Nov. 14); iPad/iPhone Fundamentals (Nov. 21); and Video Phone Calls (Dec. 5).

Registration starts now for the course. The course fee is $10 per session. The David B. Hermelin ORT Resource Center is located inside the Jewish Community Center at 6600 W.
